Privacy Policy

Who we are

Our website address is https://ourcellocommunity.com. This privacy policy explains how we use any personal information we collect about you when you use this website.

Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymised string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service Privacy Policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Cookies

Cookies are small text files placed on your device (mobile, tablet, desktop computer etc.) to collect information and enable certain website functions, such as maintaining state. They are used to track visitor use of the website, to compile statistical reports on website activity, and generally to enhance your experience of using the site. Cookies may be set and accessed by third-party data processors, including Google Analytics (privacy policy). For further information please visit aboutcookies.org.uk.

You can set your browser not to accept cookies and the above website tells you how to remove cookies from your browser. However, some of our website features may not function correctly as a result.

Embedded content from other websites

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

Who we share your data with

This site contains links to Google Forms (Privacy policy), through which we may collect personal information that can be used to contact or identify you.

We also use third-party data processor MailChimp to provide us with email marketing services, so if you subscribe to our email newsletter, the email address and associated information that you submit to us will be forwarded to MailChimp (Privacy policy).

Your details will remain within MailChimp’s database for as long as we continue to use MailChimp’s services for email marketing or until you specifically request removal from the list. You can do this by using the unsubscribe links contained in any email newsletters that we send you.

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognise and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

Access to your information and correction

You have the right to request a copy of the information that we hold about you. If you would like a copy of some or all of your personal information, please email us or write to us at the following address:

3 Ingram Lodge
80 Kings Avenue
London
SW4 8BJ

We want to make sure that your personal information is accurate and up to date. You may ask us to correct or remove information that you think is inaccurate.

Changes to this policy

We keep our privacy policy under regular review and we will place any updates on this web page. This privacy policy was last updated on 9 August 2021.
