Thomas Gregory is a cellist, composer and conductor based in London.

He is the mastermind behind the popular series Vamoosh which was originally conceived for his own group classes. In 2009 he published the first Vamoosh book himself which quickly gained traction around the world. There are now books for all strings and many wind instruments with more in the pipeline. Thomas continues to share his time between teaching, composing and performing.

Cello students of all levels, beginner to grade 8+ are invited to join together for a fun day of collaborative music making, with Thomas Gregory, the composer of much loved “Vamoosh” series and Helen Neilson.

Senior Event: For students working at approx Grade 2 to Grade 8+ levels:  10.30 – 3.30pm. Cello Orchestra with Thomas Gregory. Playing pieces for Cello Orchestra composed by Thomas Gregory. Parts will be available for different levels, and will be issued to preview about a week prior to the event. Suitable for students reading with some extensions and position changes through to advanced levels. Tickets £42.

Junior Event: For students from early beginner (including non- reading) levels to approx grade 2: 12.30 – 3.30pm. “Vamoosh” favourites with Helen Neilson, and join with the large Cello Orchestra for one piece together with Thomas Gregory. No advance preparation required. Parts will be available for students playing with some left hand notes and open strings only options. Tickets £21.

Concert: 2.45pm. Parents and friends are invited to join to hear the concert showcasing our work from the day!

Parents of children aged 12 and under are requested to stay with their children, or to nominate another adult to be responsible for their child. Parents of children aged 13 and above may leave their children through the day and return to attend the concert.
